Why we don't use Stickers or Decals: Kids pick at everything!

When you've worked with kids as much as our churches have, you learn a few really important things.
  • Create environments that Wow kids & parents
  • Put theme elements at the child's level to see and touch
  • Never, ever use stickers or decals!
All of our art appliqués are either airbrushed directly or digitally printed and then sealed, ensuring that there's never something for kids to pick at or peel off - only to enjoy!

These are some examples, including a some close-ups of our appliqués that show just how beautiful and durable they are for churches. CLICK on any of the images below to see a bigger version!

North Texas KidMin Leadership Training

This past week we hosted a group of North Texas large church children's ministry pastors at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. We brought in two children's ministry gurus, Greg Baird (KidMin360.com) and Kenny Conley (ChildrensMinistryOnline.com) to share leadership principles and lessons for leading teams, leading across ministries and up to their leaders.

Greg and Kenny opened up the discussion to the nearly 50 attendees for shared experiences, practical advice and creative take-aways. Gateway Church's Ken and Mary Jackson hosted a tour of the amazing children's facilities and shared the heart and intentionality for reaching kids and families.

Here are some of the fun pictures from the 3 hour event. We plan on doing more of these across the country for peer-to-peer learning and networking!

Theme Pictures from White's Chapel UMC - Southlake, TX

Our team has just finished out the second phase of a new digital theming project at White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, TX. Leila Carlson, the Director of Children's Ministries, shared her excitement about the latest addition: "I am thrilled with the project!!!  The guys did an amazing job of installing everything and they are always delightful to be around!"

This project included creating a whimsical, bright Faithville. One hallway is the Zoo, another is an amusement and water park, and the others include a sports/fitness park, city hall, bakery and shoppes. Together, they make up Faithville for preschool and elementary-aged kids.

Preschool Project Completed at Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, FL

Our team was able to work with an existing theme concept and add new elements and artwork in the new construction of a Preschool area as well as incorporate theming into the existing children's space.

The project with Calvary Baptist in Clearwater, Florida, was a significant upgrade from the previous theme. Part of their issue was the peeling stickers and decals used by the original theme company. Our team replaced the peeling decals by painting airbrushed appliqués on-site to both remedy the problem and add a 2D relief to the walls for a cleaner look and feel.

We also added a new soft-contained play structure that is used during weekend and weekday services, but is also available for use by members who want to host kids' birthday parties, which is a great outreach opportunity for friends and parents invited to the parties.

Here are a few photos from this vibrant Preschool area, thanks to Howard Parker, Church Administrator at Calvary Baptist.

Preschool Entrance theming across the entire atrium
"The Father's Market" includes fun signage right on the main entry wall
Nursery entrance hallway with big signage and lots of window space
A new soft-contained play unit with lots of climb space and fun slides!

We are thankful for the opportunity to work with the team at Calvary Baptist and love seeing the great work of our artists and installers on display. Working with churches to reach kids and families of all ages is our passion! How can we help your church? Let us know by telling us here!

2011 Project Pictorial Recap

We took a montage of pictures from the projects that Worlds of Wow completed (to date) in 2011 so that we could share the fun, creativity and wow-factor of these churches! This year we have already completed 38 new projects and have even more coming for 2012.

It is a privilege to serve local churches and help them reach more families, connect with more kids and create amazing experiences. We are passionate about serving churches and our entire team is grateful that the Lord allows us to use our gifts to create ridiculously cool, fun environments that impact kids and families of all ages!
