Shoreline Christian Center

A huge "thank you" goes out to the pastors and staff at Shoreline - what an awesome project and ministry. Their new children's ministry building is fantastic and one of a kind! We'd like to specifically mention Pastor Rob, D.R. Dickey and Ken King for casting the vision and allowing us to use our creativity. Thank you to so many others who encouraged, supported and ministered to our artists over the past three weeks!

Today was the Grand Opening and I joked with Pastor Rob that the new building was already at capacity! Awesome!

Creative Themed Features

Thought I'd post a few really unique items we have done over the past few years that might spark some new ideas.

First Baptist Grapevine. If you can't tell, this is the front of an old sanctuary. We transformed a 40+ year old sanctuary into a mini-family entertainment center for kids. So we needed to dress up the front of the church, hide the baptismal, choir loft, wood paneling, etc.

First Baptist Athens. This is an exterior portico facing the busiest street in town and serves as a huge draw and statement that "we want your kids to come to church!". We wrapped the columns with tree trunks and extended the foliage onto the sides. We made the windows a bit "wonky" to add the whimsical nature of their theme. Inside this newly created space is an arcade for the kids.

Geyer Springs Baptist Church. We created this 50's themed diner that hosts all kinds of activities for the children's ministry. It complements an automotive theme seen throughout the building with cars, drive in movie theater themed worship room, garage themed game room and more.

Park Plaza

This project is a wonderful model for transforming existing "outdated" spaces into a creative, appealing kid's space. We used 2D airbrushing and 2D relief appliques to turn white cinder block walls into an original, fully themed space complete with a preschool play room. It's already been a huge blessing for the church and a launching pad for things to come!

Brentwood Oaks

This is a great example of what a difference just one room can make. Brentwood Oaks wanted to add some "wow" to their ministry and had one room - their preschool large group worship room - to work with. We created an outdoor themed space with a centerpiece Clubhouse themed puppet stage. "The reception has been tremendous and everyone loves it," children's minister Jackie Boyd said.

North Richland Hills

Wow created two play areas for atrium that shout, "we care about kids". The modular play attraction features a 23 foot spiral slide. The themed soft foam play zone is perfect for toddlers and matches the theme and color palette of their existing themed children's areas. These new attractions are going to be a huge ministry outreach for the church!

First Baptist Humble

This project was an absolute joy throughout the entire process. We loved working with the pastors at the church to deliver their vision and inspiriation for the new building. These are a few pictures but we're saving a couple of the best ones with the 3D for our new website!

The stories from the Bible come to life throughout the new building through the eyes of time traveling kids who enter a Humble's own Time Travel Capsule! The kids final destination is huge play area with artifacts from their journey strewn about the area.
